Abstract
The central focus of this book has been on the use of syntax to model the ways that phrases are reordered between languages. This has taken six chapters, but even still, we are far from covering all of the ways that syntax is used in machine translation. In this chapter, we cover a number of considerations and extensions of the use of syntax that are important to know about, despite the fact that they did not fit within the core narrative presented in the previous chapters.
