Abstract

Among the many pathways leading to a match between the goals of students, industry, and academics, the International Plan emerged as a multifaceted collaborative effort at Georgia Tech to globalize the educational process. The success of the International Plan led to Georgia Tech being named recipient of the 2010 Andrew Heiskell Award for Innovation in International Education, as well as of the 2007 Senator Paul Simon Award for excellence in practices, structures, philosophies, and policies that internationalize the campus.
