Abstract
Following the lines of the questionnaire underlying the project, this chapter analyses the main findings stemming out from the comparative analysis of the Brazilian, Russian, Indian, Chinese and South African legal approaches to international commercial contracts. It therefore reviews and highlights similarities and differences between the principles and the rules applying in these countries to contract formation, validity, interpretation, contents, performance, non-performance, and limitation of claims. It thus sets the basis for exploring to what extent the harmonization of commercial contract law in the BRICS is possible and feasible.
