Abstract
In this paper, we have presented our investigation on the variation in the structure of ion-acoustic solitons due to variation of densities in the presence of isothermal electrons in the plasma. We have considered the standard ion density profile and its variations and studied the effects of density variation on solitons. We have considered the governing fluid equations of plasma and derived the modified Kadomtsev–Petviashvili (KP) equation using the reductive perturbation technique (RPT). The solution of the KP equation indicates the variation in soliton structures.
