Abstract
This chapter uses two methods to ascertain the frequency and meaning of two or more heterosexual men kissing each other in this study: ethnographic investigation and interviews. Here the authors show that all 20 of the men interviewed, and all 30 of the men observed have, repeatedly, kissed their bromances and other friends on the lips. Sometimes these kisses happen with prolonged passion, and other times they involve three men at once. The authors then show that there are many meanings derived from these kisses; but that they are portrayed as being both humorous and an act of emotional intimacy.
