Abstract

An Asset Health Index (AHI) is an asset score, which is designed, in some way, to reflect or characterize the asset’s condition and thus, its performance in terms of fulfilling the role established by the organization. In this Chapter, planning major overhauls and equipment renovation based on asset criticality and health index is considered. To that end, a procedure for calculating the asset health index is presented.
