Abstract

In the framework of the expert psychosocial assessment that supports the claim presented by the Association of Victims of El Mozote before the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, rising from its ceaseless struggle against impunity, a methodology was constructed to visibilize the victims and to listen to their voices. Their stories about the events and the damages they suffered, as well as their expectations of reparation, establish the common pattern of the damage caused by the massacre. The results of that program, described here, characterize the psychosocial damage and consequences of the massacre on the victims and propose reparations.
