Abstract

This chapter focuses on MIDI and how to translate a score into MIDI. It begins with a light tutorial about MIDI, including tracks, channels, and MIDI messages. The concept of MIDI time is introduced with elaboration on how MIDI time relates to time in a score. The details of score to MIDI conversion are detailed, along with a tangential discussion on how to convert a line to MIDI.
