Abstract

This chapter asks whether dating and flirting require more in the era of #MeToo. Do men feel that they can approach women without being afraid of violating their boundaries? What do men think about the importance of creating a language about flirting and sex, awkward situations, vulnerability, the fear of rejecting and being rejected? Do they perceive boundaries to be fluid and difficult to identify, both in themselves and in others? What about the problematic relation between being a ‘conqueror’ who is expected to take the initiative without being someone who violates other people’s boundaries? How does it feel to carry that responsibility, and how does it feel when they fail to live up to it?
