Abstract

This chapter presents a holistic approach for leaders who want to be successful in today’s organizations. This approach assumes that “navigating a travelling organization” is a form of learning exploration and that corresponding leadership development can only be an agile search process that moves iteratively toward a “virtuoso viability” under VUCA conditions. This framework has as its basic symbol a lemniscate—a figure-eight-shaped curve—that spans a developmental landscape with four domains: new thinking, new attitude, new action, and new insight.
