Abstract

The article deals with the issue of vehicle safety. Impact tests are performed to evaluate the safety assessment of vehicles. Impact tests are also performed for the purpose of analysis and study of the mechanism of impact and movement of the vehicle after impact for the purpose of traffic accident analysis. The article contains an analysis of the dependence of the duration of the impact on the impact velocity, based on the results of impact tests. The aim was to find an approximation of the duration of the impact depending on the impact velocity and the approximation of the duration of the impact and in dependence on the overlap of the vehicle with a fixed obstacle.
