Abstract
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the prevailing public narrative has minimized the impact of the global pandemic on child health. However, children have been significantly affected in multiple dimensions including accessibility to primary care for preventive health, increased presentation of mental health concerns, hospitalization with severe illness or even death, disruption of school safety nets providing critical services to children and their families, and adverse impacts on the pediatric nursing workforce. This chapter will review impacts on these specific elements along the care continuum for children and their families.
