Abstract
The aim of this paper is to investigate perspectives of financial inclusion development through higher education's role. Financial services historically provided with the aid of incumbents are actually rapidly unbundled via a developing set of startups and new technologies, under new models of collaboration and a huge shift in power. We provide insight into the structure of FinTech ecosystem in MENA region using analyses of opportunity and perspectives. FinTech played an important role during Covid-19 pandemic and will continue to grow. This trend shows that FinTech imposes a tremendous challenge linked to innovation and regulation. Hence Higher education must enhance this ecosystem by providing consistent curriculum. This paper proposes a set of measures at short term, medium term and long term toward the development of specialized curriculum in Fintech. Policies to promote technology transfer must be emphasized in order to benefit from the high innovation capacity of students in these countries.
