Abstract
Speaking to migration, displacement, terrorism, and Islamophobia, “Aliens” explores an Iranian female philosophy student’s feeling fearful of the neighbors who moved in next door, not because of their appearance, ethnicity, or religion but for their strange non-communicative attitude. The Aliens are referred to as Blackheaded, originally intended to denote Iranian refugees sent by the UN to Western European countries. Contrary to assumptions, Blackheaded was coined not to identify foreigners by the color of their hair, but by something inside the head of the new people, a strange quality, invisible to the naked eye.
