Abstract
The textile industry is one of the oldest and largest industries in the world and has been forecasted to have a global population of 8.1 billion by 2025 (Fiber2Fashion, Textile Sector Gets Future Ready, 2014). As generations evolve and change, their needs also change. Accordingly, innovations in the textile industry become a necessary adaptation, and so overcoming production challenges and seizing new opportunities within a globalized economy have become a priority.
