Smart Contracts in Blockchain Application: Review Chain

Abstract

Many e-commerce and other digital sites provide more user input in the form of ratings and reviews. Recent research has revealed the value of this feedback and verified that positive feedback boosts the sales of the goods and hence their popularity. The managers of online portals serve as central authorities over the entire review process. Online operators can tamper with the legit reviews, and in the worst-case scenario, it can rule out users from sending reviews if it affects the sales adversely. Our focus will be to restrict the digital site operators by using smart contracts of blockchain technologies and decentralized applications with storage, allowing all customers to provide and see untampered reviews. A ReviewChain must provide reviews using Ethereum smart contract by validating every new review through customer identity and purchasing information from a supply chain.
