Abstract
This chapter reviews the indications, limitations, and interpretations of an upper extremity arterial duplex exam. It discusses how to prepare the patient and perform the ultrasound. It also addresses the clinical utility of the duplex in the evaluation of a thrombotic vs. embolic event in the upper extremity from the subclavian artery to the radial and ulnar arteries.
