Abstract

This chapter reviews the indications, limitations, and interpretation of a lower extremity venous reflux study. It discusses how to prepare the patient and perform the ultrasound with associated maneuvers. It also evaluates the clinical criteria used to identify venous insufficiency in pathological and nonpathological veins.
