Abstract

This chapter examines one of the most critical tools in any KM platform: enterprise search engines. It describes user experience, taxonomies, and connected search experiences. It also details common search platforms, the features and functions of each, and how to address business problems that may arise. This chapter also touches on the most recent enhancements in search (machine learning and AI) and how they have increased cognitive understanding, natural language processing, and increased automation in search.
