Creating the Target State Vision

  • 859 Accesses

Abstract

In this chapter, defining the target state is further explored by detailing brainstorming exercises and thought approaches. The three thought approaches detailed are building up from components, breaking down from solutions, and spidering out from a known need. This chapter emphasizes that all three approaches should be used to ensure a comprehensive vision, especially for complex organizations. The closing section covers roadmap achievements that typically are discussed at this point in the KM transformation, like budget, buy-in from stakeholders, and a specific timeline.
