Abstract
The knowledge of the sectional anatomy of the female pelvis is of great importance for the understanding of respective pathologies, especially the genital prolapses, congenital anomalies, and surgical treatments of the urinary continence, uterus, and tubes. In this chapter, we will discuss the main aspects of the relationships of bladder, uterus, ovary, uterine tubes, and muscles and, when possible, associate them with radiologic images (especially MRI) and pathologies that affect this important pelvis region. The objective is to present the sectional anatomy of the female pelvis and its association with radiologic images and, most importantly, traumatic, tumor, and infectious conditions and congenital anomalies of this region in females.
