Abstract

Article describes computer aided simulation of patterns of surfaces with roughnesses. The model is based on experimental data of interacting surfaces’ morphology, including those with coatings. The assumptions made do not have a considerable influence on the simulated surface credibility. It is designed to model contact interaction and evaluate the frictional parameters of the friction units, anticipate thermal resistance. A flexible algorithm and an independent segmented mathematical logic are developed for the optimal calculation of simulated processes using numerical methods. This software combines modern information technologies and analytical developments of generation of rough surfaces.
