Abstract
Xeroderma pigmentosum (XP) is a rare autosomal recessive disorder in which patients show a high susceptibility to skin cancers on the sun-exposed body sites. People with XP are unable to repair ultraviolet radiation (UV)-induced DNA damage resulting in an increased risk for skin cancer. Here we present a 3 years-old female child patient with xeroderma pigmentosum. Patient had history of long sun exposure without using any sunscreen. There is history of cosanguine marriage among family. History of photophobia was also present. From histhopathology examination, we found that skin lesion near the eye had differentiated to squamous cell carcinoma.
