Abstract

Majocchi granuloma is a rare dermatophyte infection of dermal and subcutaneous tissues characterized by chronic erythematous papules, indurated plaques or granulomatous nodules. There are two clinical types of Majocchi granuloma: (i) small perifollicular popular type and (ii) deep subcutaneous nodular type (Chang et al., Mycoses 48:382–4, 2005). The clinical manifestation of two types are slightly different. Here we reported a case of Majocchi granuloma on a five-year-old girl’s cheek, and review the literature of Majocchi granuloma briefly.
