Abstract
The authors describe the case of a three-year-old boy with a high fever for seven days, flu-like symptoms, who recived the diagnosis of acute bronchitis and was treated with amoxicillin, without any improvement. The young boy presented very irritable, with mild rigidity of the neck and bilateral cervical lymphadenopathy. He also had a asymptomatic maculo-papular rash, bilateral conjunctival injection without secretion, dry, chapped lips and strawberry tongue.
