Sequences of Order, Reflection and Development Dynamics: The Interplay of Multiplicity Within the Whole

Abstract

This chapter addresses natural development. Traditionally, psychotherapy is in consensus with developmental psychology in this regard. Developmental phases can pose significant challenges for certain individuals. Generations of researchers have compiled observations on this phenomenon. Phases are often outlined by the overlapping of several developmental structures. Cerebral physiologists have successfully gained key insights into the area of the brainstem. The development of our teachable and plastic brain is influenced by the mindset with which we use it. It, alongside a number of other functions, can be shaped by meditation. The transition between spirit and matter occurs constantly within us all. Here, we also encounter the “digital” and “analogue” functions of the brain in parallel. Within our organism, the orientation of the parts to the whole appears to indicate health, with the fragmentation thereof indicative of illness or death.

Meaningfulness, coherence and consistency emerge when we consciously engage with ourselves and simultaneously the context of our subjective whole.
