The corium formed during a very severe accident corresponds to the mixture formed by the molten materials: fuel and core structure in the vessel, possibly mixed with concrete outside the vessel. A metallic corium is very low viscous, possibly less viscous than water, contrary to a corium containing silica (by fusion/mixing with the concrete of the vessel pit). A volcano releases silicate corium.
