Abstract
Healthcare providers worldwide face increasing cost pressure and quality requirements. Many healthcare systems need to deliver more and better care with fewer skilled resources as the population ages and the system-wide burden of chronic diseases increases. The consequence of these developments is that healthcare must become more efficient and effective. Standardization has started to gain importance in the form of standard operating procedures (SOPs). Digitalization provides new possibilities to support workflows and enable new working modes that support consistent workflow results (Fig. 140.1). This chapter focuses on the requirements of MR scanning in the context of a larger clinical process and discusses available digital solutions that can help achieve consistent high-quality studies.
