Peripheral Nerve Issues after Orthopedic Surgery

Abstract

Different nerves are at risk during procedures around the elbow joint. An appreciation of the complex anatomy of the region, the appropriate processes to perform the diagnosis, and the multidisciplinary and multimodal treatment combining all types of reconstruction modalities is fundamental to optimize the results of surgery. This chapter attempts to highlight our current strategies and techniques to perform a proper diagnosis and treatment to nerve injuries around the elbow joint.
