Abstract
Here we have another version of “same but different”: the construction exists in both languages, but with a different “twist” (implementation) in each. In both cases the relative clause functions adjectivally to modify a noun, and contains a dedicated pronoun, plus other elements such as prepositions. But we find differences in the choice of the pronoun, in word order, and in which elements are required or optional. As usual, the devil is in the details, which need to be unpacked.
