Abstract

Botulinum toxin type A injections for cosmetic purposes are the leading non-surgical procedure worldwide. These treatments have high efficacy, patient satisfaction and minimal to no downtime. The recommended injection techniques and consensus papers, focus on Caucasians. The East Asian faces vary from Caucasians, as well as beliefs about beauty, cosmetic procedures and treatment expectations and requirements. Treatment planning, dosage used, injection points, and optimal outcome are very different for East Asians. In this chapter, cosmetic treatment of the lower face and the neck using botulinum toxin A in East Asians are explained and discussed.
