Abstract
This chapter discusses and narrates EFL teachers’ simultaneous abilities to cope with the Emergency Remote Teaching (ERT) and online Teacher Professional Development (TPD) at the university, senior, and junior high school levels in Indonesia. Firstly, this chapter discussed the issues related to teaching and learning during ERT in the Indonesian setting. It covers the areas of teaching situations experienced by teachers in early ERT and the strategies adopted in the new teaching system. Secondly, this chapter reviews the TPD activities of EFL teacher contexts and explores their involvement in the government PD programs. Additionally, it also narrates teachers’ initiations and engagement in online community learning and webinars to enlarge the teaching capacity and technological competence.
