Abstract

Despite the high prevalence of mental health problems among children and adolescents in Nigeria, the notion of mental health is often culturally or socially dodged and most of the child and adolescent health initiatives in Nigeria lack a child and adolescent mental health (CAMH) strategy. Thus, CAMH issues have remained obscure to the country’s current efforts in policy and practices.
