Abstract

Pygame is a Python wrapper for the popular SDL multimedia library. It is suitable for tasks involving 2D graphics, sound, keyboard, etc. Pygame is not designed to build psychological experiments, but it offers a lightweight solution appealing to some researchers. This chapter will give a brief overview of the various modules of Pygame and use the essential features of Pygame to create a functioning script for the Posner cueing task.
