Abstract

Neuroimaging is a crucial part of the evaluation and work-up of pediatric epilepsy. Imaging evaluation of a first-time seizure most commonly utilizes CT and MRI to assess for acute etiologies such as febrile illness (encephalitis, meningitis), trauma, or CNS hemorrhage [1]. Imaging is more often abnormal in children with localization-related or remote symptomatic epilepsy [1].
