Abstract

Thirty-seven-year-old Milton Humason closed the door to his small one-story rented house on 1034 North Hudson Avenue in Pasadena, California,1 and walked out to the car port where his bicycle stood awaiting him. He toed the kickstand back and slung his right leg over the bike. Fixing his shoulder bag, he pushed off and glided down the driveway waving goodbye to his wife Helen, standing in the doorway, and waving back.
