Abstract

The possibilities for utilization of waste heat from boilers and furnaces are presented. Based on the specifics of the flue gases throughout the combustion process of biomass and phytomass, various installations for waste heat recovery (for heating air, water and steam) are also presented. Recommendations have been made for calculating the heat transfer coefficient of condensing heat exchangers utilizing waste heat from flue gases during biomass combustion. The processes taking place in the condensing economizers are described, with additional emphasis on ways to prevent secondary condensation of water vapor from the flue gases in the stack.
