Abstract
Laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication is performed in selected patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease refractory (GERD) to medical management, or those who have developed complications of GERD. This chapter details the indications, preoperative preparation, pitfalls and danger points, and documentation. It gives details of operative strategy and technique.
