Abstract
This chapter describes techniques, pitfalls, and strategies for excision of a palpable benign mass. Modifications appropriate to the excision of nonbenign masses are described in Chap. 118, which also discusses image-guided excision. The chapter also describes the technique of local anesthesia for simple breast procedures.
