Abstract
Just like the NPN transistor which has a counterpart in the PNP, the NMOS transistor has a sibling in the PMOS transistor. NMOS and PMOS transistors can be manufactured in the same integrated circuit, resulting in the CMOS (complementary metal oxide semiconductor) technology that is widely used today. We will study the construction of basic logic functions such as inverters and NAND gates, as well as the physical mechanism behind propagation delays.
