Abstract
The competitiveness of industry presupposes the presence of a whole set of prerequisites that form this phenomenon. Innovative capabilities and advanced technology are among them. The authors of this paper analyze the current state of knowledge in the Russian scholarship on financial performance and innovation in industrial enterprises. The authors group the reviewed papers around the four tracks: (1) finance and investment policies and practices; (2) industry analysis and case studies; (3) regional differences and imbalances in Russia; (4) nation-level and international perspectives on innovations and financial performance. Each track is explored in detail, and the whole review forms a picture of the Russian scholarship.
