Abstract
The tables, charts and diagrams in this book can be used to design the longitudinal reinforcement in cross-sections subjected to axial forces and bending moments. The tables and charts refer to ultimate limit state conditions while the diagrams can be used for assessing the stresses in cracked sections in serviceability conditions where linear elastic behavior may be assumed. The examples presented in this section were prepared to guide the reader through the correct use of these tools.
