Abstract

This chapter describes the model used in the evaluation of the stress resultants (axial force and bending moments) considering the different classes of concrete and steel in cross-sections of the structural members, as well as the reinforcement amount and layout. The tables are applied to rectangular cross-sections subjected to bending moment only, or bending moment and axial force. The design charts consider axial force and bending moment in rectangular and circular cross-sections and biaxial bending moments of rectangular sections with different distribution of the reinforcement along the sides.
