Abstract

The study presents the results of an analysis of dynamic state of shallow shell laminated glasses (LG) composites under impact loading. The work considers modeling of a rigid ball drop on LG with polyvinyl butyral (PVB) interlayer. The aim of the work is to study the dependence of LG dynamic deformation on the glass curvature. The study carries out the dynamic strains and stress state analysis in LG under different loading conditions. The work performs computations using a finite element method (FEM) within an explicit dynamics approach in 3D statement. The investigation includes a mesh-size convergence analysis.
