Abstract
The term “trigeminal autonomic cephalgia” (TAC) encompasses five headache syndromes with distinct clinical features and time courses. These five headache disorders, considered primary headache disorders, include cluster headache (CH), short-lasting unilateral neuralgiform headache with conjunctival tearing and injection (SUNCT), short-lasing unilateral neuralgiform headache with cranial autonomic symptoms (SUNA), paroxysmal hemicrania (PH), and hemicrania continua (HC). In this chapter, we will review recent updates to TAC classifications and review new treatment modalities, including neuromodulation interventions.
