Abstract

Transient diplopia is a common complaint that can herald serious underlying pathology. A careful history focusing on diplopia characteristics and associated symptoms is the key to determining the cause of transient diplopia. Transient cerebral ischemia/transient ischemic attack and giant cell arteritis are two potential etiologies that should not be missed.
