Abstract
This anastomosis technique is the fundamental way to connect the two ends of the vessel. For the first time, the technique of vascular suture technique was proposed by Alexis Carrel, for which, in 1912, he received the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. Generally, three types of vascular anastomosis exist: end-to-end, end-to-side, and side-to-side. In reconstructive surgery, the first two types are mostly used. This chapter will describe the basic algorithm of end-to-end anastomosis (halving technique). In this method an interrupted vessel suturing technique is used.
