Abstract
This chapter is about inviscid potential flows that include incompressible potential flows. To treat this subject, complex potentials for plane flows are used. These are translational flows, sources and sinks, potential vortex, dipole flow and corner flow as well as their superpositions. The chapter also treats the Blasius and Kutta-Joukowski theorems and the conformal Transformation with Kutta-Joukowsky transformation as a major sub-chapter. Further more, vortex theorems by Thomson and Helmhotz, generation of circulation, vortex induced velocity field, induced drag force and the Bio-Savart law are treated extensively.
