Abstract
The global coronavirus pandemic spread throughout 2020, with countries in Europe experiencing tremendous socioeconomic impacts, including a cliff-like drop in citizens’ mobility, overcrowding of hospitals in metropolitan cities, an economic recession, massive furloughs and an increase in unemployment, as well as a significant transition to more remote working.
