Abstract

Albert Einstein (1879–1955) is recognized as one of the most important scientists and thinkers in the history of mankind. His ideas radically changed our view of space and time. His portraits, personality, and even mathematical formulas (such as \(E=mc^2\)) entered the collective imagination, becoming as popular as Beatles’s songs or Wharol’s artworks. He received the Nobel Prize in Physics of 1921 (assigned in 1922) for “his services to theoretical physics, and especially for his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect”, and he was chosen as the Person of the Century from the magazine Time.
